An Invitation from Me to You
“Partnering with accomplished, influential and gifted leaders, many of whom are also working parents, who are dedicated to personal leadership, to actively participating in the development of our leadership pipeline and to creating the conditions necessary to thrive in their lives, their work and their organizations."
Is this work for you?
Hi! My name is Dori Klass. I specialize in personal and professional leadership development and transformation, guiding clients who are themselves accomplished, competent and gifted leaders to enhance their performance, more effectively navigate specific organizational and/or life changes, own their impact and get even better at what they do so that they can continue to be successful and provide the leadership their organizations and families need in today’s fast-paced, often overwhelming, global marketplace. At the other end of the development spectrum, I work with young people, often the kids and grandkids of these established business and organizational leaders, adolescents through college age, ripe with talents, gifts, raw abilities and youthful ambition, to develop a healthy sense of self, to learn how to step into various perspectives and to see themselves as leaders. Together, we focus on clarifying their anchors, dreams and wanters, on exploring their options, and on developing essential interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, all of which can be learned and honed, at a time when they are both hungry for more self-awareness and connection to others and most open to learning and building these important muscles. These kids are our leadership pipeline and this training will serve them and all of us in the work place and at home for a lifetime and perhaps generations to come. As you know, the best leaders are life-long learners so please join me in this commitment both to your own growth and development and to our youth.
Who is Dori?
As a 22-year veteran of corporate America, a successful entrepreneur, a professionally trained and certified executive, career and life coach, a happily married woman, wife and mother of four sons, and an athlete about to complete my second marathon, I bring a unique blend of professional and personal experiences, expertise and perspectives to bear in service of my clients—and prospective clients like you.
Why partner with Dori Klass & Associates?
These skills can be learned and learning them creates more health, wealth and wellness, personally and professionally!
In my 22 years in corporate America where I managed hundreds of people and hundreds of millions of dollars, in my 16 years as a wife and mother, and in my four years as a successful business owner and coach, I have come to believe that “from the boardroom to the bedroom, the corporation to the kitchen, it’s all the same.” There are two questions we are all asking whether or not we have ever used these words or articulated them out loud in this way: 1) “Am I optimizing my circumstances, resources and potential?” and 2) “Am I making good decisions, well, and quickly, whether I am in a crisis or I have time to be thoughtful?”
I propose that, if you want to maximize revenues, achieve desired outcomes, optimize your circumstances, resources and human potential, and if you want to make great decisions, well and quickly, whether you are in a crisis or have time to be thoughtful, you must make it a priority to partner powerfully and to see yourself as a leader in all aspects of your life; and, you must require it of those around you in your organization, place of business and, yes, in your home. This is foundational, core work. Personal leadership is everyone’s business and core leadership, communication and interpersonal skills can be learned and improved upon. This applies as much to individuals as it does to groups, personally and/or professionally, and you are never too young or too old to see yourself as a leader in your own life, to do this work, and to learn, hone and apply these skills. I reiterate—from the boardroom to the bedroom, the corporation to the kitchen, it’s all the same. I have done this work, my husband has done this work, my children and their friends are doing this work in our KY2BP™ Program, my clients are doing this work and we continue to do it. It makes a real, measurable and positive difference. You can do it too.
Actions speak louder than words—and words matter—results do too!
At Dori Klass & Associates committing to leadership development is also about shifting the focus from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What’s right with you?” In collaboration with other coaches and service professionals and drawing upon the wisdom of masters, I’ve incorporated non-violent and compassionate communication techniques, right relations and the democratic process into our coaching and consulting processes. We teach our clients these skills, point them to additional resources and encourage them to put them to immediate use in order to enhance all of their important relationships, beginning with the one with themselves. In our experience, this shift in focus and approach coupled with a belief in our ability to “do things well” and an emphasis on putting the relationships/people first, has magical effects. It noticeably improves outcomes and increases the sense of satisfaction, fulfillment, accomplishment and connection each of us experiences, while also decreasing conflict, its frequency and intensity, all essential “human elements” to getting great work and great living done.
Great v. Good—here’s how to stop leaving money and potential on the table!
In collaboration with Dori Klass & Associates, you will learn how to lead to your strengths and create the conditions necessary to thrive for yourself, for your organization and for everyone you encounter. This is, as my clients and colleagues have also come to believe, the difference between good and great, between achieving average goals and exceeding stretch goals, between yo-yo dieting and successfully running or walking and completing marathons and between surviving and thriving, both short- and long-term. We are all capable of so much more and what really makes us tired is that we know it and still miss the mark more often than not. Our partnership is about learning how to work smarter, hitting the mark more often and more predictably, and having more fun in the process, all of which is possible. This is about doing the foundational work that sets the stage for and creates the conditions necessary to thrive.
Dori’s “Klass Within Core Work-Out™”—how to build your personal leadership muscles, optimize your circumstances and become an excellent decision-maker! Thanks to collaborations with existing colleagues and former employees and clients, I have developed a number of signature products and services that enable my clients to achieve these goals and, as a result, a level of personal mastery, self-esteem and performance they had not imagined possible, all the while having more fun and feeling more rested. In addition to the specific objectives established at the outset of our engagements, which we address with rigor and integrity, our clients commit to completing the four key leadership development steps that comprise the “Klass Within Core Work-Out™”—an integral part of the Discovery and Foundational Coaching processes.
These four core steps represent a powerful process that enables my clients, both individually and/or collectively, to develop a level of personal and professional leadership, self-awareness, self-assurance, self-maturity, self-confidence and self-responsibility they have never known before and that is virtually guaranteed to enhance individual and team/corporate/family performance. Clients walk away from this process feeling changed for the better. They are revitalized, re-engaged and ready to lead. They are ready to encourage and support the development of the same in others. In the process, they create and take with them a “Personal Map™”, which they refer to for reinforcement for years to come. As a result of participation in the “Klass Within Core Work-Out ™” you, as the client, will:
- Anchor in who you are, what you stand for and what you’re passionate about, individually and/or collectively (KY2BP™ Process)
- Anchor in your wants, dreams and/or vision (Dream Coach Process™)
- Clarify what it takes for a “mission” and “your mission” to succeed (The 3 P’s Process™)
- Commit to, develop and/or hone the specific behavioral and interpersonal skills identified in your Discovery process and required to develop a level of mastery as a leader, executive and/or budding leader/executive (Ongoing Coaching)
Context always matters—for meaningful results, a powerful sense of aliveness and true engagement, this work must be relevant, real-time, immediately applicable and fun to do!
At Dori Klass & Associates, we believe that ‘the process is the action,’ so everything we do with you is done in a context, your context, and is relevant, real-time and immediately applicable, yielding meaningful and measurable results throughout. This is what deepens the learning and ensures engagement. We blend a unique approach to learning, observing and doing (the time-honored Reflection-Action-Reflection process) so you get results quickly and often, learn continuously, anchor in the learning, and enjoy the process, however messy or uncomfortable it might get, which is inevitable when big programs, transitions and/or change is what you’re up to.
Now would be a good time to make a decision!
If you see yourself as a leader and are looking to produce even better results than you have thus far, then you are in the right place. If you are curious about how you are perceived and want to ensure that your impact is positive, then you are in the right place. If you want to surround yourself with people who strengthen you further and call you forth to be even bigger, better, stronger and more effective than you already are, then you are in the right place. If you are committed to playing a bigger game, then you are in the right place. If you recognize that nothing important gets done alone and want both to be witnessed and to bear witness to others in this exciting process of growth, development and performance enhancement, then you are in the right place. If you want to clarify what you’re passionate about today and get it into your life every day from this day forward, without turning everything else on its head, then you are in the right place.
I work with people, like you, who are committed to this kind of personal growth and professional development; who have the courage to ask, “What do I know that matters and what don’t I know that matters at this stage in my life and work?” and who have the patience and compassion to be with the answers. I work with people, like you, who care both about who they are being and what they are doing; who care about being world class at what they do. I am interested in building world class and powerful partnerships with people like you; people who know they have even more to offer and who are ready and willing to do the work required to do so; people who also want to better embrace, mentor and support the young people in our midst, our leadership pipeline, our future; people who want to give something back; who want to leave a positive legacy. Selfishly, I want to partner with people who are accomplished, articulate, gifted, playful and curious; who call me forth as well.
Take action—call me—call someone!
If you are interested in creating the conditions necessary to thrive for you, for your organization and for our kids, our leadership pipeline, both at work and at home, please go to my website and read on about the various ways we might partner (e.g., coaching, consulting, workshops) or just pick up the phone and call me. This invites you to partner with me to develop more and more people who see themselves as leaders in their own lives and who are committed to doing the work required to know, embrace and like themselves, warts and all, to be powerful and use their power well, to act more fully into this, and to create the safe and courageous space for others to do this too. Of course, this work begins with you—and me—and a commitment by you to do your own work first.
This work is my passion, my gift to you and my livelihood. What’s yours?
I have a dream of world at peace wherein each of us is thriving, children and adults alike. I see children playing and growing up to be leaders, knowing themselves, experiencing themselves in holistic, positive and healthy ways, aware of their talents and gifts, and committed to turning them into strengths and using their power well both on their own behalf and on behalf of others. I envision a world where collaboration is the operating paradigm and where there is a shared commitment to certain essentials that ensure sustainability and long-term viability of our global community, its citizens and this planet. When each of us is at peace within, which is the ultimate benefit of doing our own personal, leadership work, then we are equipped to build better relationships, marriages, work teams, companies and communities, locally and globally. Then we know what it means to peacefully co-exist and co-evolve. Then we know what it means both to honor the unique attributes of the individual and build beloved and highly functional communities and work teams. This is my vision for our world and my contribution to you and our collective well-being.
This work, our work, is both my business and my passion; my gift to you, our country and our world. What is your gift? And what is your passion? What is your business? It is okay that they are different; important that they are aligned. Please join me in this work and, in the process, experience what it feels like to be in alignment and integrity within, to choose powerfully, to partner powerfully, to perform powerfully, to show up powerfully, to contribute and give back powerfully, and to make learning, change, growth and, yes, even aging, fun.
If you want to go to bed at night feeling both fully alive and exhausted, for all the right reasons, then choose Klass first and, together, we’ll make it happen.
Thank YOU!
Thank you for stopping by. I am honored that you have come this far and engaged in this conversation, so to speak. Please read on and call me to explore person-to-person how we can serve each other, become even better versions of ourselves and enhance what you already do so well. If, like me, you believe that nothing important gets done alone and if you are longing for a collaboration with someone of a like mind who understands your world, then consider collaborating with me and Dori Klass & Associates. Here’s to further developing our selves, to developing our leadership pipeline and to creating the conditions necessary to thrive in our lives, in our work places and in our world, together.
Ask yourself, and keep asking, “How good can you stand it, really?” You have much to offer.
With deep respect and appreciation,

Dori Klass
